How we support young people

We support young people with a wide range of needs, including physical, cognitive, developmental and psychosocial challenges. Our approach is personalised, goal-focused, and built around what matters most to each individual.

We commonly work with young people who:

  • Are transitioning from school to further education or employment
  • Require support with independent living skills
  • Have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or developmental conditions
  • Experience mental health or psychosocial challenges
  • Have physical disabilities or injuries
  • Need support to increase confidence in daily life

Our focus is on building skills that enable participation, independence, and long-term success.

What can we help with

Our Occupational Therapy services are designed to support young people in developing practical life skills that carry into adulthood.

This may include:

  • Independent living skills (cooking, cleaning, budgeting)
  • Personal care and daily routines
  • Time management and organisation
  • Community access and travel training
  • Social skills and communication
  • Emotional regulation and coping strategies
  • Preparing for work or further education

We work collaboratively with families, carers, and support networks where appropriate, while also encouraging autonomy and self-direction.

Supporting the transition to adulthood

Transitioning into adulthood can feel overwhelming without the right support. Our therapists help young people build the confidence and skills needed to take on new responsibilities and opportunities.

This includes developing routines, setting goals, and creating practical strategies that can be applied in everyday situations, from managing a schedule to engaging in social and community activities.

Flexible therapy in real-life environments

We deliver therapy in environments where skills are most relevant and meaningful, including:

  • In-home sessions
  • Community-based support
  • School, TAFE, or workplace visits
  • Telehealth services

This approach ensures that skills developed in therapy can be directly applied to real-life situations.

NDIS Occupational Therapy for young people

We support young people accessing services through the NDIS, including self-managed, plan-managed, and agency-managed participants.

Our team works closely with participants and their support networks to align therapy with NDIS goals and achieve measurable outcomes.

Building skills for the future

Our goal is to support young people in becoming more independent, confident, and capable in their everyday lives.

Whether it’s preparing for employment, managing daily routines, or increasing community participation, we’re here to help young people take the next step forward.
