The bushfires have certainly made it a tough start to summer for many around the country.  It is impossible not to be affected by the devastation we have seen or heard about and, like many other generous businesses and individuals, we are doing what we can to support affected communities.

From our childhood hometown of Corryong and the foothills of the snowy mountains to our friends and families in the Adelaide Hills and Kangaroo Island, many of us have been personally touched by the bushfires in some way.

In addition to the contributions we have already made through direct donations and the attendance at Maxwell Wines’ KI fundraiser on Saturday night (which raised $30K….and what a restaurant!), the staff at Living to the Max held a fundraiser breakfast.  Furthermore, for the month of February, Living to the Max donated $10 from every client appointment to the bushfire appeal.

We’re proud to announce this has raised a total, collective donation of $5,005.  Donations were split between the St Vinnies Bushfire Appeal, CFS, Maxwell Wines Kangaroo Island Appeal and the rebuild of a children’s playground in the North East Victorian town of Corryong.

PS, this heartbreaking photo captures the devastation to property, the environment and people’s livelihoods….all while a volunteer firefighter and koala look on helplessly!!
