CURRENT ROLE:

At Living to the Max, I provide Occupational Therapy services for NDIS participants. My role includes conducting assessments and delivering therapy that helps improve clients’ quality of life, ensures their safety, and supports their independence.

As a community-based Occupational Therapist, I visit clients in their homes to offer tailored recommendations based on their unique needs and goals. This might involve assistance with everyday activities, home modifications (both minor and major), assistive technology prescriptions, pain management, fall prevention strategies, and upper limb therapy. I’m also accredited to conduct FIM Functional Capacity Assessments to better support clients in achieving their goals.

What I enjoy most about my work is building meaningful connections with my clients and helping them achieve their goals. Every client is different, and I love that my job allows me to think creatively while continuing to learn. Seeing positive changes in a person’s wellbeing, independence, and safety through Occupational Therapy is incredibly rewarding.

EXPERIENCE:

I graduated from the University of South Australia in 2020 with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy. During my studies, I gained valuable experience working in mental health, residential aged care, and with children. Since joining Living to the Max in 2021, I’ve supported participants with physical and psychosocial disabilities. My work now focuses on helping clients, particularly those with Autism and mental health needs, improve their social-emotional skills, self-regulation, and independent living abilities. I also assist with life transitions, like moving from primary to high school, to ensure positive outcomes.
