CURRENT ROLE:
As an Occupational Therapist at Living to the Max, I provide services to clients under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), as well as private clients and those accessing support through My Aged Care. My work includes conducting functional capacity assessments, prescribing assistive technology, and home modifications to improve clients’ independence and quality of life.
A typical day for me involves visiting clients in their homes for assessments or therapy interventions, or meeting with them at equipment suppliers to trial devices. When I’m not conducting home visits, I’m in the office completing documentation and reports. What I enjoy most about my role is collaborating with clients in their own environments to help them achieve their goals. Through home modifications, assistive technology, and capacity-building, I empower clients to live more meaningful and independent lives.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my family and friends. Having grown up in the country, I enjoy being outdoors, playing sports, fishing, and camping.
EXPERIENCE:
I graduated from the University of South Australia in 2016 with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy. Before joining Living to the Max, I spent over seven years working in Residential Aged Care and Community Care, where I provided OT services to vulnerable populations. During that time, I advanced to Team Leader and then Services Manager, gaining valuable leadership experience. In 2024, I sought to expand my knowledge in community care, especially within the NDIS, and now work as a Senior Occupational Therapist at Living to the Max. Additionally, I have over five years of experience as a Remedial Massage Therapist, specialising in treating a variety of pain and mobility dysfunctions.
