Paris Spillane

ABOUT ME:

I went to school in Northgate for my early years and graduated in 2021. I then went on to study at the University of South Australia completing a bachelors degree with honours in occupational therapy in 2025.

I am most passionate in helping people return to the things they love to do most, weather that be being with family and friends, spending time on hobbies or getting back into life’s daily routines.

I chose to become an OT in hopes of working towards a career where I could help diverse groups of people going through the motions of life. I love to help people feel like they have made progress toward something they are passionate about and love to do.

I completed placements across aged care facilities, paediatric services and diverse cultural communities. My most favourite memory was traveling to Ecuador; working with children and adults that had various capacities and using pottery, dance, cooking and excursions into the community to build connections amongst the people involved.

I love seeing clients accomplish things that they have been working towards. Working to make activities easier to manage through creative and fun therapy when possible and returning to activities and plans that are important to them.

Outside of my work I enjoy every hobby I can find time for; painting, gardening, pottery, reading, spending time with friends and family and traveling when I can. I have travelled to the Amazon Rainforest on a long weekend.
