ABOUT ME:
I studied at the University of Adelaide | 2025
I chose to become an OT because from over 10 years of gymnastics coaching experience, OT seemed like the right fit for me! I enjoy helping people learn to do activities by themselves and providing clients with the equipment they need to live as independent as possible.
It’s hard to choose just one area of OT because the role is extensive, but an interest of mine is spinal cord injuries.
My first placement was a community placement working with adults 16 and over. My highlight from this placement was seeing a grab rail installed by a client’s front door that I had drawn in my first week. My second placement was my favourite which was working with patients with spinal cord injuries at the REPAT. Through this I delved into learning how injuries can impact the way you are able to engage in day-to-day activities and wheelchair prescription.
I value building connection and rapport with clients.
Outside of work, I enjoy coaching gymnastics, exercising and hanging out with friends, my family and the dogs!
A fun fact about me is that I have two West Highland Terriers who have the cutest little faces and a black and white cat.
