CURRENT ROLE:

Meeting with NDIS clients, assessing their needs and prescribing appropriate intervention. A typical day involves one to two appointments, following up on client emails/phone calls, following up on prescribed assistive technology, report writing (assistive technology, FIM, progress reports, clinical justifications, schedules of support or assessment summaries), preparing home modifications diagrams, or organising trials of specific equipment. 



I enjoy working with my clients, building rapport and learning about their lives. I enjoy being able to assist someone become more independent in their day to day lives and seeing the joy that this can bring them.

I am also responsible for the portfolio of static seating (chairs and electric recliner chairs). This includes the latest evidence based research on different equipment, understanding equipment pros and cons, professional development/training opportunities and considerations for applications for funding.

CAREER ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

I graduated from Flinders University with a Bachelor of Health Sciences, Master of Occupational Therapy in 2015.

Upon graduation, I worked as an OT for Flex Care followed by Eldercare as a Wellbeing Consultant. 
During my time at Eldercare, I was asked to supervise a group of four Masters students at Kasturba Medical Hospital in Manipal, India while they undertook placement there. I also worked at the Independent Living Centre as a Senior Occupational Therapist before commencing with Living to the Max in August 2020.

Personally, I enjoy catching up with friends and family, camping with my fiancé Leigh, spending time with our kitten, Eddie, pottering around our new home (we are both home bodies!), buying furniture/homewares for our new house, hosting dinner/cheese and wine nights with family and friends, going to the gym and cleaning (clean house=clean mind!)
