Position title: Senior Occupational Therapist/ Chief Clinical Lead
Office phone: (08) 8331 0566
Geographical areas covered: Metropolitan Adelaide and Adelaide Hills. Other areas by negotiation.

My job involves working with people to help them to achieve their goals and supervising and mentoring the clinical team at Living to the Max to ensure a supportive environment, adherence to evidence based practice and the best outcomes for each and every client.

My typical day includes assessing people’s functions and addressing barriers to achieving goals, thinking outside the box to work on solutions, supervising clinicians and working on quality improvement.

I am also responsible for the portfolio of clinical competencies, professional development and clinical supervision. This involves developing, monitoring and modifying clinical competencies as they relate to the latest clinical evidence; coordinating the planning and organising of professional development; and the coordination of supervision of clinical staff with consideration of best practice.

I am passionate and committed to learning, mentoring and sharing knowledge. I believe that clinical supervision is essential for ensuring a team of highly skilled, evidence based and highly supported Occupational Therapists.

I graduated from the University of South Australia in 2001 with a Bachelor of Applied Science – Occupational Therapy. Since then, I have also completed a Graduate Certificate in Clinical Rehabilitation and a Certificate in Occupational Therapy Driver assessment and rehabilitation.

I have worked in a wide variety of areas including aged care, rehabilitation, community, hospital, disability, orthopaedics, neurological, medicolegal, Workcover, motor vehicle injury claims and service management. I also returned to the University of South Australia as a tutor and currently sit on the occupational therapy advisory committee at the University of Adelaide.
